Psycle Of Movement Imagination: mine. yours. ours
Project “mine. yours. ours” is aiming to raise awareness on the complexity of cultural work and the wide spectrum of feelings that it can include. This testimony is a personal archive of our experiences but also an archive for the future. Each year’s cultural capital can be a source of inspiration for the next, but also a testimony to which one can turn at any time. Project mine.yours.ours. is complex. Firstly it collects the interviews of cultural workers from both Timisoara 2023 European Capital of Culture and Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture. The interviews focus on the complexity of cultural work. The interviews are then formed into an audio journal which serves as the base of the artistic work of Psycle of Movement Imagination Circus Collective. The collective was founded by Dorottya Podmaniczky and David Mikó in 2015 in Budapest, Hungary.
P. O. M. I. is a dance collective, that combines circus art with the energies of martial arts in a unique way. Their work origins from improvisation, as well as the expression of movement in the state of mind, which is added to the aerial acrobatics as a new dimension to the theatrical space. From this symbiotic existence a multilayer movement language evolved in which kungfu, airial dance and contemporary dance nourish each other. At the core of their work is the flow between male and female energies based on different philosophical and scientific ideas. Their inspirations are provided by sacred geometry, existentialism, oriental philosophy, and the fundamental questions of human consciousness.
The project is supported by the Culture Management Academy, the EUNIC Global, Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture, Timisoara 2023 European Capital of Culture and the HEI.
