Weinkillers

Imagine you’re travelling on a flatbed from Veszprém to Révfülöp on a summer evening and your mate seriously claims to have seen a weinkillers sign on the side of the road. You let it pass your ears, because it’s not a normal statement even after a couple of drinks, and the next day it turns out that he misread the weinkeller sign with his faded German knowledge. But the term is so ingrained in your head that you name your band after it. We’ve been playing together since 2017, initially in a family house in Göd, looking for an audience. We found no listeners, only new members inside, who after a while preferred to come and listen to us from the next room. With the ensemble thus completed, we ventured out into the streets to recruit more members. Here we found no new bandmates, only an audience.

Our love of music, dance and wine is a recurring core element, and that’s what everyone who comes to see and listen to us can expect. Our music mixes Hungarian, Irish and Gypsy folk music, we bring the weeping and we’re sure to get everyone moving!
